For over 100 year, Beverly Bicycle Shop has stood as a cornerstone of the Beverly/Morgan Park community. Originally founded by Jim, the shop operated as a Bicycle & Hobby Model Shop featuring many models like cars, trains and planes. Later, purchased by Bob Green, the shop continued to operated solely as a bicycle shop until 1996. Located at 9121 S Western Ave, the shop has witnessed generations of cyclist pass through its doors, evolving alongside the changing landscape and needs of its clientele.
Paul Weise
Paul Weise, as the third owner has been at the helm since 1996, with an impressive career spanning over 30 years in the cycling industry. His experience with cycling and winter sports led him to expand the shop's offings to include cross country ski rental and servicing. Adding skiing allowed the community to take advantage of the beautiful forest preserves and parks our community offers, leading to the name change to Beverly Bike & Ski.
The Community
At Beverly Bicycle Shop, we're passionate about cycling and our community! That's why we're proud sponsors of local initiatives like the Beverly Area Planning Association (BAPA), Pat Mac's Pack, and Christmas Without Cancer. We were always especially proud of our Beverly Bike-Vee Pak Racing Team, made up of local riders who have conquered races like the Beverly Hills Cycling Classic and even snagged a few state championships! Giving back to the community is something we truly believe in, and we're committed to supporting the causes that matter most to our neighbors.
